What is the difference between overlay and merge?

Merging combines documents sequentially (pages after pages). Overlaying places content on top of each other on the same page.

Can I control the transparency?

Yes. You can adjust the opacity of the overlay layer to let the background show through.

What happens with different page counts?

If the overlay has fewer pages than the base, you can choose to repeat the last overlay page, use blank pages, or only overlay matching pages.

Can I overlay an image instead of a PDF?
